EAVI – the European Association for Viewers Interests is an international non-profit organisation based in Brussels that advocates for media literacy. EAVI is working with and it is supported by the European Commission, the European Audiovisual Observatory, Unesco and the Council of Europe on media literacy and disinformation topics.
EAVI calls for young participants aged between 16- 25 coming from across Europe. The aim is to discuss and collect opinions, ideas and information.
EAVI will be holding five additional focus group sessions to engage in dialogue with young people. Each session will host a group of about 10 participants and will be run in English for a maximum of two hours.
General Discussion Structure
Are young people and children safe and engaging in the digital environment? What is the role of the European Union? Which are the responsibilities of the social media platforms? Which activities EAVI should carry out to be effective?
In particular we will address questions similar to the following:
We all study, work and play in the digital environment. Are you also using online tools to participate in communities and political life? One in six online users in Europe is a child but services, apps, content and devices are often not designed for them. Which activities for youth and children EAVI should envisage to carry out in the future? More information to enable more reflection will be provided ahead of the sessions.
How do I sign up?
Interested participants should submit their request through the Registration Form.
Selected participants will be invited to join the preferred session.
As a token of appreciation, participants will each receive a 100 euro ETSY voucher.
