Everything is a Remix is a four part documentary series by filmmaker Kirby Ferguson. It explores the topic of intellectual property and how our current laws limit creativity, especially in today’s read-write culture of the internet.
By watching the four short installments we can see how some of the most celebrated modern works of creativity (Star Wars, Led Zeppelin’s Stairway to Heaven) are in fact ‘remixes’ with ideas and techniques borrowed from earlier works.
