EAVI is looking for a Project Officer!

Are you passionate about projects that aim to equip citizens with digital skills, counter disinformation, protect children online, and advocate for media literacy in the EU? Join us to develop into a full project manager professional!

EAVI is a non-profit organisation based in Brussels at the Schuman roundabout. It promotes media literacy and digital citizenship across Europe. EAVI implements a wide range of activities, including research, networking, engaging European Institutions about EU affairs, video production, online campaigns and events. Most of our activities involve citizens and organisations of different countries.

We are recruiting a Project Officer.

The successful candidate brings a keen sense of responsibility and is open to new challenges. She or he got some experience in writing, communicating with partners, organising the respective work within deadlines. She or he would add administrative skills to EAVI contributing to monitor and participate in new calls and other fundraising activities.

Tasks and responsibilities would include the following:

– Assist in managing ongoing projects by providing administrative and coordination support;

– Assist in the implementation of the respective activities;

– Assist in drafting proposals for new funding opportunities.

The candidate will work closely with the Secretary-General.

Profile – education and professional experience:

– Minimum a bachelor’s degree or equivalent working experience

-At least 1 year of practical experience, preferably in project management;

-Strong organisational and administration skills;

-An understanding of the EU institutions and media literacy and disinformation related topics;

-Excellent knowledge of written and spoken English;

Other skills:

-Interest in media literacy;

-Good social skills, a keen sense of responsibility and initiative;

-Ability to work in a small team independently, attentively and proactively;

-Availability for travelling.

The candidate will be offered a CIP (Contrat d’Immersion Professionnel) contract, initially for six months. The monthly take-home salary is € 800. At the end of your contract, typically EAVI may offer the possibility to secure a position at reviewed financial conditions.

As a small team, the Project Officer will be involved in all EAVI activities (current projects and new initiatives), working in a multicultural environment in a Brussels-based international organisation.

We are recruiting a Communications Officer.

The successful candidate is creative and open-minded and brings some experience in managing social media channels, administrating websites, organizing events and be able of creating audio and visual content.

Tasks and responsibilities would include the following:

-Manage EAVI’s and project’s social media channels such as Twitter, LinkedIn, Facebook, and Instagram;

-Create audio and visual content such as using Canva or other editing tools;

-Administrate EAVI’s and project’s websites;

-Assist in organising online and offline events;

The candidate will work closely with the Secretary-General.
