Profile

Born in Samara, Russia (1956). Evgeny Pashentsev is: professor and Head of the MA project programme The modern and contemporary history of Europe and North America at the MCPU; Head of Communication Management Centre at the Russian-German Graduate School of Management – the faculty of the Academy of National Economy under the Government of RF; director of the International Centre for Socio-Political Studies and Consulting; visiting professor at Lomonosov Moscow State University; partner of the EAVI, European Association for Viewers Interests.

 

Pashentsev is the author of courses on PR, Communication Management and Marketing Communications at: the Department of Public Relations, Philosophy Faculty, Moscow State University; Moscow InternationalGraduate School of Business (MIRBIS); different centers of ANE under the Government of Russian Federation (MBA programmes); course on the contemporary history of Western Europe, North and South America at the Moscow City Pedagogical University; courses on political history and present day politics in Russia for the visiting American students and academicians since 1997 at Grint centre etc.

Honorary Research Fellow at Birmingham University (October-November 2005). Presentation of papers at the 17th international conferences and seminars for the last five years( Moscow, Birmingham Sofia, Macao, Helsinki, Stockholm, Uppsala, Madrid, Milan, Rome, Lueven etc.) lectures seminars at Imageland PR, Moscow Union of Enterprises, Rostehnadzor, Lukoil and other companies and organizations, at the seminar on Public Relations at the Academy of Management by The Ministry of Internal Affairs, speeches at Russian and international conferences on PR, CM, state security problems etc. Coordinator of international publishing and Internet projects.

16th July 2010 – Military Academy, Lisbona

Information and Media in Modern Conflicts

The seminar “Information and Media in Modern Conflicts” was held in the Military Academy in Lisboa, Portugal on the 16th of July. The main paper was made by Dr. G. Simons, the senior researcher of the National Center for Crisis Management Research and Training (Crismart), a part of the Swedish National Defence College, the associated fellow of the Communication Management Centre of the Russian-German Graduate School of Management at the Academy of National Economy under the Government of RF. In his paper the Swedish specialist stressed the rising role of the informational warfare in the modern world and illustrated basic ideas by various examples of applying the communicational mechanisms both in the armed conflicts and large business. The seminar was organized by the NGO Competitive Intelligence & Information Warfare Association for the researchers in the sphere of business information protection.

The seminar showed the high potential of this sphere of knowledge both for business community and security bodies as the representatives asked for practical recommendations from the Swedish scientist. The Russian specialists also took part in the seminar: the head of the Communication Management Centre of the Russian-German Graduate School of Management at the Academy of National Economy under the Government of RF, DSc. Prof. E. Pashentsev, associated fellows of Communication Management Centre Dr. D. Bazarkina and Dr. O. Polunina and Mrs. S. Zudochkina.


18th – 22nd July 2010 – IAMCR Annual Conference

Communication management at IAMCR Conference

The annual IAMCR (International Association for Media and Communication Research) conference «Communication and Citizenship» took place at the University of Minho on 18 – 22 July 2010. More than 1200 researches from 75 countries participated in the conference.

The whole working group was represented by communication management specialists.It’s business meeting was held on 21 July 2010 within the framework of the International Communication Section chaired by Sujatha Sosale (the University of Iowa, USA) and was named “Communication management in information warfare: New opportunities and new threats for the defense of public interest in times of crisis”.

The meeting was headed by the director of the International Centre for Socio-Political Studies and Consulting, the head of Communication Management Centre of the Russian-German Graduate School of Management at the Academy of National Economy under the Government of RF Prof. DSc. E. Pashetsev and the senior researcher of the National Center for Crisis Management Research and Training (Crismart), a part of the Swedish National Defence College, Dr. Greg Simons. The specialists from Russia, the USA and Sweden contributed their papers to the work of the group:

 

  • Valentina Panferova and Yulia Zvereva (Sholokhov Moscow State Humanitarian University) «Mass Media as a Tool of Communication Management in Time of Civilization Crisis»;

  • Vladimir Suchan (University of Maine, Fort Kent, USA) «The Anima and Strategic Communication: La Femme Éternelle et Fatale»;
