1/Update:

We decided to adopt a secret vote for the election of the coordinator for 2009 in February. Until February, Marie is in charge of this function.
We enlightend the role of the Coordinator: he/she has to prepare the online meetings (one hour once a month), coordinate and animate the online forum and act as the spokesman to EAVI. He/she is in charge for 6 months, and this position is renewable up to a year.
In December, the issue of the a possible position of a General Secretary shall be discussed, whether to make the group a legal entity and therefore be able to sign collaboration agreements, etc.
Meetings: we all have agreed to meet in person once a year at least, and we have a common idea about fundraising conceived as an essential activity, therefore we commit ourselves to make efforts to find efficient funds, search for grants.
Facebook is used for general assembly, meetings and debates once a month.
The next meeting will be on 8th December, from 20.00 to 21.00.
We agreed on creating a Yahoo group or a Google group by the Coordinator in order to have a space to share documents, larger texts, articles, etc.
EYAG Website: in 2008 we will use Joomla (open source content management system) in order to manage the EYAG page within the EAVI website.
In a later stage we will discuss again the form of the EYAG website, which possibly will be external however connected to EAVI, maybe in a form of a blog. (This discussion is necessary because in February the new coordinator will not have the access at Joomla’EAVI system therefore we need to have another solution)

a

2/Issues for 8th December:

1/ Discuss EAVI Channel Tube on the EAVI website: are videos interesting?
Do we need more issues/themes?
Any advice/suggestions?

2/Google or yahoo group to share documents? Decision forwarded.

3/The structure of EYAG: is it useful to create more roles? Should the candidates of the post of coordinator present a program? A list of intentions? Give a scope for each in a particular issue in order to give more responsibilities?

3/What we will do?

Practical initiative: in each Member State, how is media literacy developed? Purposes about the initiatives of media literacy in school: everyone conducts research about this issue in their own country.
Mireia proposed to search issues about media literacy in preference to their own interest.

We are going to work on a little leaflet, a CD or another type of material which will give us visibility, and which could be useful for the request of funding or for activities of dissemination (if you have concrete ideas, please contact me or Lucia before the end of November in order to mentioned the idea in the call for proposal EAVI is applying to).

Johan proposed to create in the future our own collaboration agreement ‘EYAG collaboration’.

Facebook: use this platform in order to create events, photo exhibition and manifestations against laws or organisms which contradict EYAG’s core values and beliefs.

Go ahead!
