International Media Literacy Research Forum Conference – London, 14 – 16 May 2008 As the promotion of media literacy moves up the policy agenda, there is a growing need to maximise efforts to understand and share learning about emerging issues at a global level. Researchers in the UK, Europe, US, Canada, Australia, New Zealand and other leading countries often receive an audience for their work only in their own country. This conference sought to increase awareness of international developments in media literacy, and was both a showcase for the latest research and an exploration of the issues faced by policy makers.
