Digital Communications Literacy Forum – Doha, 9th February 2010

EAVI attended and participated as a speaker at this conference which aimed to address issues around digital communications literacy.  The International Institute of Communications in association with ictQATAR conducted the forum. The 17 speakers were key players and experts from the media world and over ___ attended. The conference programme dealt with six main themes; Key facts about the growth of digital media; What is Digital Communications Literacy and why is it important?; Communications and the benefits of digital media literacy; Creativity, culture and development; The ‘Educator’s’ Role; and the future challenges for digital communications literacy.

EAVI presented under the title ‘The ‘Educator’s’ Role’, which considered the way in which communications literacy can be addressed both formally and informally. EAVI also disseminated hard-copies of the ‘Study on Assessment Criteria for Media Literacy Levels in Europe’ to the speakers at this conference.
